Gm nostriches. Eye opener this morning, what does the state of the British economy look like to me in one picture. This guy has belongings (that’s a good sleeping-bag , I saw him getting up the other day, in a shirt and tie 👔 , but he is homeless while likely working in an office somewhere, fully on the edge of existence, probably a couple of grand away from ever being able to put down a deposit in a rental property, never being able to get a reference and hoping to sofa surf a night here or there.

Between this and the guy a few meter away, properly homeless, sleeping next to a bottle of his own piss in a cardboard box. I’m not saying “they need support/handouts”, but if anything suggests the economy is not functioning, this is it.
