Here's my question that might make the decision easier: how willing are you to have to *explain* that to the doctor? Because chances are, if you wear a diaper to the doctor's appointments, one of their first questions is going to be "are you struggling with continence issues?" and that will get into a whole other medical rabbit-hole. If you have to say "no, I wear it for kink/comfort reasons," that's the truth - and I wouldn't call it a "violation of consent," but it likely *will* feel a little awkward for both you and the doctor.

Ultimately, that's the decision you have to wrestle with: how willing are you to deal with the awkwardness of having to explain it?
