my little low-cost suiseki in its new home. rock, sand, and gravel all collected at the same shoreline, in the Canadian Shield.
almost everything up there is granite...even the sand is crushed up granite. (or possibly gneiss...i'm no geologist.) everything grows in a thin layer of topsoil there, because the bedrock was scraped almost bare by glaciers in the past.
