I can't even get into the insanity I’ve been through trying to collect an IRS refund check for a significant amount from fiscal year 2022. If I did, you probably wouldn’t believe me. It went down a black hole and apparently there’s nothing I can do but keep waiting until it’s obvious someone else cashed it for a second time. And yes, I asked for direct deposit, but because I’m overseas, they said it has to be a paper check.
I’m close to giving it up. And as I said, it’s a decent chunk of fake money.
