"content": "I'm old enough to remember when women couldn't get bank accounts. (1974). (Technically, women won the right to open a bank account in the 1960s, but many banks still refused to let women do so without a signature from their husbands. This meant men still held control over women’s access to banking services, and unmarried women were often refused service by financial institutions. via Forbes)\n\nThere have been so many generations of women trapped by patriarchy and who have never even once felt the breath of freedom fill their lungs. \n\nI hope this woman gets a chance to experience everything that was forbidden to her. Hell, I kinda want to drive to Georgia and take Grams out for a weekend of raucous ribaldry.",
