Apropos of nothing, what is the path that leads to risk management? Is it primarily a math based process, or do you also have to factor sociology, pen tests, data containment, etc.? I have an idea of how actuarials define risk, but they don't generally consider continuity, so much as "how much is this going to cost to fix". As an information architect, building redundancy, backup, and contingency is part of the job...but I honestly never thought about how there would have to be similar plans in place at the c-suite for business models.
