Was just talking to a family member about this. Instead of going to his doc, he just went to a pharmacy and got an MMR vaccine whether he needed it not. No appointment necessary, his insurance even covered it, and they suggested coming back in a month for a second shot.
I think I'll go do the same, just get the shot. I'm old enough that I think I only got one dose of vaccine when I was a kid. Modern guidance has changed a bit and they say to get two of 'em spaced out a few weeks.
