This might be an unpopular opinion even here, but one of my LEAST favorite things about the modern industry is how we've effectively done away with big E3-like events and moved toward "Direct" showcases.
Nintendo Directs were a cool concept... when it was just them doing it. As one of the more unique companies in the industry, it just made sense. But I miss when everyone else was announcing big games at E3.
It just felt more special and memorable to me.
