I’d have to guess the two cats kill about 5 small animals each per day. Probably more if you count bugs. Some might cry “ecological disaster,” but I assure you there’s no shortage of mice.
For all I know, I could be off by an order of magnitude in my estimates. Cats are amazing little murder machines and there are bits of animals showing up outside our doors and windows almost continuously.
