From the late 1880s until 1909, Clara Driscoll made a profound impact on the artistic output of Tiffany Studios. In 1892, she took on management of the Women's Glass Cutting Dept, with the autonomy to design her own lamp shades, including the Dragonfly lamp.
Thanks to her personal correspondence and a circa 1900 profile in the NY Daily News, she is now rightfully credited with the design of several of Tiffany’s most iconic leaded glass lamp models.
