Around 400 trees planted today in my local park, a job well done by six of us in lovely crisp sunshine. Among the saplings were alder, birch, rowan, hazel, goat willow and oak. If the forecast 50% die-off rate happens that's still a lot of lovely new trees for future generations to enjoy.
