probably because they still check how much they in fiat. they think in fiat. they price in fiat. so holding fiat is like staying flat to them, so they dont feel like they are losing anything. that they can keep some value in something aggressively losing value against bitcoin.
even when i need cash for the day, and withdraw some bitcoin as cash for it. all day long until i buy bitcoin back with it i feel uncomfortable.
but these "bitcoin tourists" feel comfortable having fiat on the side for "spending". what a joke.
