Just heard a Baltimore resident say it will be closer to $4 billion….so only 13x the cost of the original bridge with adjusted inflation.
Riddle me this: a 10 mile bridge in Baltimore cost 60.3 million in 1977 or ~ 312m in today’s inflated $. The first estimates I’ve seen are 1.2 Billion to rebuild it today. Why is it 3-4x the cost in today’s $?
