Wow, Bitkey is "like" multisig wallets. I bet they find it so similar because, you know, Bitkey uses multisig wallets.
As for the wildfires...you really don't have to bury your metal backup very deep to keep it safe. You could be super paranoid and bury it inside of a jar full of water.
Unless you're in Gaza or near a volcano, it's really not that hard to find a solution to keeping your keys safe. And if it's the volcano, the obvious solution is: keep a key or keys somewhere else. If you're in Gaza...I guess maybe try to get a resistance fighter to keep it safe. They seem to be the ones least likely to be targeted by the occupation. Whatever you do, don't put it anywhere near a child or a hospital.
