Problem for Saylor making sophistic arguments — node-approved development on the protocol = violating his property rights! — is all the people who follow and respect him do so because of his persuasive first-principles-based arguments the last few years.
So if he pivots to being a bullshitter, it’s not like some influencer with a bunch of low-IQ fans who are attached to a brand. He’s dealing with sharp, technically savvy, clear-thinking bitcoiners who will not easily be fooled.
He’s free to make his case, of course, but I’m really rooting for him to do a better job, so I don’t lose respect for what was probably my favorite person in the space.
