because the root post is restricted and his read relay is probably a public relay, so others would see my reply and be confronted with a "cant find post" or spinner when trying to build the thread.
If you allow "free" replies you could limit read/write access to those who already have access to the initial root, but I don't know how technically feasable this is in the relay logic
