Listening to a colleague yesterday, have known him for years but never before realised how much he was focused on being a victim.

I’m fat and grey, because of the kids.
I failed my phd because the examiners didn’t like my work.
Paper got rejected because reviewers didn’t like my work.

Hey buddy, man up, take responsibility for your life, kids are a gift, helping them grow is an honour, it is you who didn’t look after yourself, you who didn’t do the work for your phd, your paper wasn’t good enough.

If something didn’t workout how you wanted, take ownership, do something about it, improve as a person then move forward.

I’m not perfect, but where ever possible I’m asking myself “what can I do to make things better” and strangely enough, I have much more agency on the outcome. 🫡🙌

Also buddy, I’m not lucky I got into #bitcoin when I did, we spoke about it in 2020, you didn’t put the work in.
