That’s part of the conversation. Most speak in generalities about a complex subject. Palestinians voted Hamas into power in 2006. Hamas was not the only militant group that went in on Oct 7, to include the Palestinian Islamic Jihad. In the end, the second greatest commandment in Islam is Jihad per the Hadiths (Sahih al-Bukhari, book 2, Hadith 25). And this isn’t spiritual Jihad within one’s self per Sahih Muslim, book 1, Hadith 149 where it is stated that the best Jihad is one where your horse is wounded and blood is shed. Sahih Muslim and Sahih al-Bukhari are among the most respected Hadiths in Islam. Not to mention Muhammad’s own biography (the earliest copy we have claims to have remove gruesome details) narrates Muhammad splitting a woman in two by tying seperate ends of her to two camels. Are all Muslim’s violent? No. But many of them don’t understand their religion, they only know what they are taught. Is war and death awful? Absolutely. But when Egypt (largely Muslim), as a neighbor, refuses to accept citizens from Palestine, what’s that say? The lack of understanding from anybody chanting from the river to the sea or free Palestine has no idea what they are talking about. That’s mostly what I see.
