I have taught 4, 8-9 year old kids to read, all of them were considered hopeless by their schools. The most difficult case took 10 weeks (meeting once per week for 90 minutes), the others took 8 weeks. After that they were reading at grade level. Its the schools that are hopeless not the kids.\nOf course, I have the advantage of not having been brainwashed by a teaching college.",
