the laptop with the inflated battery was kept on my stove top for a while, because i figured it would be a relatively safe place to have a fire.
i had to use the stove top for something else though, so now it sits in the bathroom, since virtually nothing in there can catch fire.
i'm not quite sure how to dispose of it. it LOOKS to be stable, so maybe i can treat it as regular e-waste. but ideally, i'd be depositing it at somewhere that can handle potentially flammable substances. lithium ion batteries are scary.
