Went to Olive Garden to celebrate my son's team win (12-4) on the soccer field. No Olive Gardens near us, so since we were near one for the game, took the opportunity. My wife is a spaghetti fiend, so a nice gesture all around.
Our waiter was spectacular. A great experience. However, that menu must be the least carnivore/low-carb friendly I've seen. Two choices, a six-ounce steak, or fish. I took the steak.
I assume it was cooked in soybean oil, as their dietary/allergy disclaimer (I read it) stated that they don't consider soybean oil an allergen, beacause the guvmint doesn't, and so their allergen checklist doesn't include it. However just abot everything (including the meat sauce) show that they contain soy.
Oh well. I'll get over it - but won't be returning to an Olive Garden anytime soon, unless dragged there by the wife.
