Framing ppl's varied and variable abilities as deficits or super powers is entirely about exploitation. If you have a super power, you're seen as more exploitable and thus more useful to capital. If you're seen as having a deficit, it's into the dumpster with the rest of the less exploitable ppl where you'll be mostly forgotten until you're pointed out to scare more exploitable ppl into continuing to use themselves up to benefit capital.
This framing is applied to disabled ppl all the time.
