If you have bad genes and use interventions your genes are passed on to the detriment of the gene pool. If you had bad genes and didnā€™t take interventions your genes are not passed on protecting the gene pool. This is obviously an oversimplification. But if you are refusing interventions you only improve the gene pool by being excluded from breeding through death or not being selected by a mate due to your weakness. šŸ¤£ Choosing not to procreate is a trait that is maladaptive for survival of the species and is a characteristic that is constantly being selected against.
