This is crazy to me. I mean I don’t understand why people live in Florida in the first place, it’s always humid and disgusting and a sinkhole could open up at any moment and swallow your whole entire entire house. But this is crazy.
“Well, the other day the state of Florida outlawed these documents for Floridians, making owning them an arrestable offense, but also intentionally made the application of the law so vague that it is applicable to everyone that’s had a name and gender marker change in any state. I had my documents updated to best reflect who I medically was born as according to my doctors.
It would be illegal for me to use my identity documents in any official capacity, like operating a motor vehicle, boarding flights, filing I-9 documents with a Florida based employer, filing Florida state taxes, or going to school. For those still in Florida who are in my shoes, you could add voting to this list of things that will get someone thrown in jail.”
