Looks like UK folks can now federate from Threads. I will have a play, but I will be keeping Mastodon as my main social account. In fact, I hope to federate *from* Mastodon to Threads, eventually.
"Today, Mark Zuckerberg announced that Threads is expanding their beta for sharing to the fediverse. People who are 18+ and using Threads with a public account can turn on sharing to the fediverse. The experience is now available in more than 100 countries, and we hope to roll it out everywhere soon."
