So while I’m usually loath to give Facebook / Meta credit I have to note something I saw today (on Wil Wheaton’s FB pages) - they now have an option to limit comments to actual friends of the poster OR accounts that have followed the poster for at least 24hrs. While imperfect this is a solid option to minimize “drive by” comments/bots swarming a given post.
Imperfect to be sure but notable as an improvement and a solid step in still allowing comments from “followers” but reducing trolling
