At 16, he published a treatise on projective geometry; At 19, he invented the first calculating machine, developed it further & presented his completed pascaline to his contemporaries; At 31, he developed a method for solving the “party problem”, which gave rise to the calculus of probabilities in the 18th century & had a major influence on modern economic theory and the social sciences.
