If it were just a "stumble" no one would be calling for the replacement of the incumbent.
We're on the same side here! I just feel terribly frustrated because I saw this coming in 2020, I was against Biden or Saunders (who I adore!) for that reason, and felt at least that they should appoint a VP who was a viable candidate on their own.
I feel that when the story of this is written, we'll find out that aides knew there was a problem sometime in 2023.
