I sometimes mull over what it would take for a human society to beat an airborne virus head on. Respirators are the center of it. But very, very little of such a world even resembles ours. Mammals who share our space and aren’t easily respirator’ed become a huge problem, like little kids and pets. Can’t guarantee they stay clean outside the home. And keeping the home safe is a huge problem with dense housing.
