I can no longer understand the outcomes of collective human action as being driven by anything other than individual belief - through all the ways nature has for instilling and manifesting belief. These outcome, and our history, are not driven by collective intent or intelligence.
The concept of individual intelligence using information to precipitate an intended outcome does not generalize to a concept of a collective intent. The sum of individual intents at work is enough to result in our un-intended and unintelligent outcomes. Not that that is a bad thing. It makes the world much more interesting as we orient to those things worthy of belief.
Why do you believe things are as they are?
