I might have posted this before. This is how I see the great lie. Red represents The truth, Blue represents the lie. Dark is exactly what you expect the omnipresent shadow, Light is the purity spiral of self righteousness, this is lucifer's false light.

A. This is the narrow path, Wide is the path to the devil, but only through the narrow gate can you get to the truth (red).

B. This is the great lie, The overlap of self-righteousness and the shadow, this is absolute evil, The hiding of the overlap is the lie and lead to C.

C. This is Hell, this is where the narrow path is hidden and instead we walk closer to both evils under the illusion that we are living in balance (blue)

This is why being mentally unbalanced is so common.
