I first purchased Bitcoin and started thinking more about it in 2017 or so.
I kinda knew what mining was and how it worked, but just enough to have BTC "click" in my head.
I have focused more on stacking sats, educating and onboarding beginners along the way, but mining was always in the back on my head to explore at some point.
A couple weeks ago I ordered a Bitaxe Gamma 601 from Solo Satoshi (nprofile…62jx) and fired it up.
I completely understand that solo mining with a Gamma is a lotto ticket at best for mining a block, but setting this up and digging in has taught me more about mining in less than 7 days than I picked up along the way over 7 years.
It also has me looking at some cool little projects in the near future.
