After trying on a pair of HOKA sneakers, I ended up not going with them despite how comfortable they felt. I just couldn’t get past the appearance, they seemed over-designed and too much emphasis was placed on form over function.
Today I went to the ECCO store after reading some reviews and ended up with a pair of the newest edition Biom 2. What I like most about them is the rigidity in the sole that keeps me from bending my toes too far, which is the source of most of my lingering pain from the surgery back in November. These should be much better than the slip-on Skechers I’ve been wearing since then, and they were about the same price as HOKA. I’m on my feet a LOT now at
PUBKEY (npub1key…lt3h) so this really matters.
Oh, and they have orange highlights—a big plus!
Does anyone here wear HOKA sneakers? My foot surgeon and physical therapist recommended them. The shape is kinda clownish, but the ones I tried on were super-comfortable. I work on my feet a lot now, so I’ll weigh support over style.
