Nobody panics like a box full of ants. Absolute experts at going from calm to *total freak out* in seconds.
It's probably a sign of too much time with ants, but their style of freaking out is kind of cute to me. If you watch carefully they are running in circles, opening mandibles looking for something to bite. Sometimes just biting an object just in case.
Then in a few min they are calm again.
I think it's a visual display for larger animals. But also ... confused ants.
