I think you've summed it up well, grim as it is. And, to be honest, I can't see a way out. Our species so lacks wisdom, is so driven and controlled by a voracious elite. I intend to do as much possible to resist and warn, but there's too many trumps and musks in the world and too many mobs eager to follow them for the cheap promise of being special, and endless, easy convenience and consumption.
