I started digging into the South Asian history of San Francisco's Tenderloin with friends today.
We found at least three themes to dig into, but there's always more
For example, I've found at least three World War II draft cards of Indian men living around the Tenderloin in the 1940s.
Chanan Singh, for example, apparently lived at 60 Leavenworth with his brother. Was this a rooming house? I love the feeling of being at the earliest stage of a new question.
