Bitcoin can be a moral force for good.
Nearly 4 years ago I gave up drinking, and decided not to fritter away my new "savings" every month one nickel and dime at a time. I decided that dollar-cost-averaging Bitcoin made sense, because the potential upside was great, and there was minimal potential downside because it was fully discretionary money anyway. Thanks to Swan Bitcoin I could DCA Bitcoin automatically with minimal fees, which was perfect when I got distracted and stopped paying attention to Bitcoin.
Then last year, my car finally got paid off, and after shopping around for new - and even used - cars I figured I better hang onto my old one for another few years. So I started to add my monthly car payment into my regular Bitcoin purchases.
Then a month or two ago, I finally fully ingested the Orange Pill, and went down the Bitcoin Maxi rabbit hole. I've upped my DCA already, and I am prepared for do more if/when my finances improve.
Now Bitcoin is operating as a backup moral conscience.
Go back to drinking? When i think about what a beer costs in future sats, it makes me glad to reach for a diet coke.
Get a fancy car? That new car smell is going to cost me a half-million bucks or more by the time Bitcoin hits a million.
Frugality and clean living never paid so well!!!
