I love my transfem sisters, but it's a bit of a gut punch when I see someone cheerily say something like "oh, this won't be a problem when you start to pass".

Not all of us get to go down that road even if we want to. Some of us will stay obviously trans forever.

And, you know, I'm ok with it. I don't pass for cis but I'm increasingly treated as a woman, and that's a joyous and wonderful thing. Most importantly I *like* myself now; I look like myself and *feel* like myself. It's as if I've finally stepped into real life.

Maybe I'll start to pass after FFS. Probably not tho. And even if I do, surgery is a privilege few are afforded.

Would I *want* to pass? Definitely sometimes, at least. It'd be cool to not feel quite so much under scrutiny all the time.

It is what it is. I am what I am. I'm happy for those that pass, but please don't erase me and those like me from trans experience!
