A new day. A new chance to succeed.
A day to practice my metaphorical surfing.
It always seems to happen when life has started to click into place. You're toodling along nicely and get smacked in the face with a dead trout.
Of course, it's all in the perception. I have no reason to think "Well, things are going in my favor. Nary a trout in sight" when life rolls along.
And when things are rough to begin with, a sudden, dead fish makes little impact.
