As much as I love Mastodon and other Fediverse software, it has one fatal flaw: My friends aren't here and also won't use it. Something needs to happen to get them to take it seriously, and I feel it's primarily going to be when they feel X doesn't meet their needs anymore than any improvements Mastodon makes.
