In South Africa we have had 7 heatwave events during our summer, with the longest being recorded in February (9 days)

🥵 February also saw global temperatures exceed 2°C above preindustrial for four consecutive days, Feb 8-11, for the first time in recorded history.

We are now in early autumn here and some parts are under a heatwave advisory again. We have also seen March records tumble.
