yup. and you're right, crypto is very vulnerable at the soft points - where you exchange to fiat. but people who are predicting that this spells doom are out of the loop. if for example the usa started arresting people who work in defi then really all that would happen is the companies would move to australia, which has eAUD - the official australian government dollar on eth - in pilot trials and is really pushing innovation.
we might see some price action, and less investment for sure, but really the usa would just be shooting itself in the foot. not too different from if they decided to "ban ai"
