Yes, of course Hamas killing innocent Israelis is wrong and must be condemned. But the timeline doesn't start from Oct 7. It starts much earlier, at the violent expropriation of land and mass expulsion of Palestinians that defines the creation of Israel. It starts at the apartheid, two-tier regime Israel setup oppressing Palestinians in what used to be *their land*. Expecting no resistance from people living under it is *madness*.
