we're all limited and yes, sometimes we won't be able to compromise. but your lack of engagement with others means they won't learn from you, or you from them. you and they will do things, say things and vote in ways that make society less awesome, cause there's a greater lack of knowledge, exp and empathy. I'll agree that our time is limited and some voices are harder to get value from as easily, but an individual outlook towards engagement better serves the public interest.
