Ugh. I'm conflicted.
I haven't played Minecraft in 10+ years until recently and am really enjoying it again with almost every major feature being completely new to me past The End.
Back then, I didn't even find much enjoyment out The End progression and instead preferred the excitement of simple exploration and adventure. It's simply one of the best things about Minecraft to me.
With the Caves and Cliffs update a couple years ago bringing new terrain generation we haven't seen since Beta, it really gave me joy to want to get back into exploring and seeing what amazing scenery I could find.
ESPECIALLY when it came to caves.
However, with all these updates and features, of course came new dangerous enemies waiting to kill you when you're least expecting it. The most notable and most dangerous, being The Warden.
In my older age, I've also changed as a person and certain things give me anxiety that I'd rather not deal with.
One of those things being losing all my progress simply for... *checks notes* walking...😒
Like WTF? A mob that reacts to noise. Walking makes noise.
I cannot walk into a cave without fear of being murdered in a brutal fashion, simply for walking.🤦♂️
If I want to make progression in the new ways that are possible, The Warden is an anxiety that I'd *have* to face and that's kinda ridiculous for Minecraft....😑
I can do all the old stuff that I could've done 10 years ago, but if I want to do some of the new stuff, I literally have to watch my step. That's insanity to me.
