I've spent too much of my life working with time series, so I've become pernickety about my sense of how a timeline works. To me, 'down' doesn't feel like history, it feels like the future. And vice versa for 'up'. Now, in a single Masto post, the thread works 'down' into the future. But overall, the Masto presentation works the opposite - 'up' is the future. Just thinking about that contradiction makes me slightly ill.
