I have a friend who still, to this day, bottom-posts (and snip quotes) replies to all his emails. His argument is that that was the way that the RFC originally said to do it and Microsoft and Google ruined it.
Fair point, though. There should be a Fediverse client that does this. If there isn't, then you should absolutely either a) feel free to write one from scratch, or b) submit a pull request to your favourite existing client, which adds it as a setting under "Options" or something, and see if you can get it approved. :)
