I spent some more time working on my node over the last couple of days. I now have Prometheus with Grafana set up for monitoring Eclair (this is a nice feature of Eclair) and I’ve opened another 3 channels. I doubt I’ll see very much routing through it yet and there is still a lot to learn about Eclair but so far everything seems to be working well.
I stopped procrastinating about it and finished building my new lightning node last night. It is running Eclair (thanks to The Fishcake🐶🐾 (npub137c…k37w)). I transferred some funds to it, opened a small channel to my old node for testing, and confirmed I can make payments. I need to do a little more testing before opening more/bigger channels but all seems to be working so far.
