Annealing polycarbonate can help improve its temperature resistance to some extent, although it may not drastically change its properties.

In the case of polycarbonate, annealing can reduce internal stresses that may have been introduced during manufacturing. This can result in improved dimensional stability and a slight increase in its heat resistance. However, the improvement may not be significant, and polycarbonate's fundamental temperature resistance limits will remain relatively unchanged.

PC has a glass transition temperature (Tg) typically around 147°C . Annealing can help maintain its properties at temperatures closer to its Tg, but it won't make it suitable for prolonged exposure to temperatures much higher than that without significant degradation. If you require a material with higher temperature resistance, you might want to consider other engineering plastics like polyetherimide (PEI) or polyphenylene sulfide (PPS).
