Trump is such a black hole of emotional neediness. I noted with interest that his father told him they were Queens, and not Manhattan developers. I think that's an example of why he's been so desperate to gain the approval of what he views as "the elite." How humiliated he must be to know that even with the title of POTUS, the elite still looked down their noses at him, and tolerated him only as a useful fool, if they tolerated him at all.
